Every growing business eventually hits the same problem: logo files, video footage, ad creative, and photos scattered across old laptops, email attachments, and whoever happened to design the last thing. Getting ahead of it is a lot easier than untangling it later.
Start with one organized home
A shared cloud folder, organized by type and date, beats a dozen scattered drives every time. It doesn't need to be complicated, it needs to be the one place everyone knows to check first.
Keep source files, not just exports
A final logo PNG is useful, but the original editable file is what lets you actually make changes later without starting from scratch or hiring someone to painstakingly recreate it.
Name files so a future person understands them
"logo_final_v2_ACTUAL.png" is a familiar joke for a reason. A simple, consistent naming system saves real time every time someone needs to find the right file fast.
Video and photo libraries need the same treatment
Raw footage from a shoot has a way of becoming a goldmine for future social content, if it's organized and easy to find later. Otherwise it just becomes dead weight sitting on a drive.
