Rebranding? How to Organize Your Marketing Assets

A rebrand is exciting until you realize how many places your old logo, colors, and messaging actually live: your website, social profiles, email signatures, printed materials, even old video content. Treating the transition like a real project, instead of a design update, is what keeps it from turning into months of loose ends.

Audit before you redesign anything

Start with a full list of everywhere your current branding shows up. Most businesses are surprised by how long this list gets once you include social bios, Google Business Profile, business cards, signage, and old video intros. You can't update what you haven't found.

Build a single source of truth

Once new logos, colors, and fonts are finalized, they should live in one shared brand file, not scattered across whoever's laptop designed them. A simple, organized asset library saves hours every time you need a logo file for a new vendor or partner.

Roll out in a deliberate order

Website and primary social profiles first, since that's where new customers form their first impression. Printed materials and signage can follow on a realistic timeline instead of trying to swap everything on day one.

Don't let old content just disappear

Old videos and posts with your previous branding don't need to be deleted, most audiences won't mind a visual evolution. What matters more is that everything new going forward, and everything customer-facing, matches the updated brand consistently.
